ALEXANDRA
Valedictory Opportunity was taken at the annual social of the Earnscleugh Fruitgrowers' Association to present to one of its most esteemed members, Mr James Wing, a slight token of its esteem. Mr R S. Kinnaird said they regretted very much that Mr Wing was leaving the ranks of active fruitgrowers. As a member of the association, his advice was always considered sound. Mr W. Bringans (Mayor of Alexandra) spoke in eulogistic terms of Mr Wing's worth. Mr Kinnaird then presented Mr Wing with a travelling rug, and hoped he would be long spared to use it. Mrs M. P. M'Ginnis presented Miss E. Wing with a pyrex dish, and Mr E. J. Iversen presented Miss Treloar with a Doulton plate.
