MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING

COWIE SHIELD. The first round for the Cowie Shield for teams of five men belonging to the Otago Miniature Rifle Association was fired on Monday evening, 20 teams representing nine clubs taking part. The competition for the first round was very keen and sp.me good scores were recorded. Two possibles (80) were registered by A. M'Donald, of Speight's Club, and R. Holland, of the Cadbury Fry Hudson Club. R. Gillick, D. Campbell, Mrs Johnson, G. Wylie and Robson scored 79. ihe arrangements for the evening were in the hands of the Dunedin and Citizen Clubs, which conducted the shoot very efficiently.
