Another Boon for the Public Locality Guide in Railway Timetable. Every office and home in New Zealand should be pleased I* have a eopy of the New Zealand Railways Time Table (popularly known as the " Pocket Guide"), which has an introductory section of 25 pages, appropriately titled " Locality Guide." This gives an alphabetical list (about 2000 names) of the towns, townships, suburbs or villages of the North and South Islands .within a certain range of railway stations. Opposite the name of each town is the name of the nearest railway station and the number of the page in which such station is shown in the index of the time table. The list will be kept up to date. Other good features of the book showing the many ways in which the railways are helpful to the public are well maintained. A Good Investment of Sixpence.
