Be careful when your Child gets a heavy Cold in the Head or on the Chest. An excess of mucus in the head, through a neglected Cold soon clogs the nasal passages and then the Infection spreads to the Eustachian tubes causing Deafness and Head Noises. The next complication may bo even more serious. Ihe safest and best way to treat Colds and Catarrh in Children is to use 'Mentholatum.' This amazing breathable balm (made by a firm of 45 years reputation) acts quickly and surely. Use it as directed. 'Montholatum' . . . which is a scientific combination of seven different remedies . . . penetrates through the skin and eases conscstion, while its pleasant vapours, charged with unique antiseptic properties, act right through the breathing passages, so that even deep-seated Catarrh and Colds yield to its influence. It is just as effective for Adults. Sold throughout New Zealand in 9d. tins and 2/- jars and tubes Get some to-day.

Another Boon for the Public Locality Guide in Railway Timetable. Every office and home in New Zealand should be pleased I* have a eopy of the New Zealand Railways Time Table (popularly known as the " Pocket Guide"), which has an introductory section of 25 pages, appropriately titled " Locality Guide." This gives an alphabetical list (about 2000 names) of the towns, townships, suburbs or villages of the North and South Islands .within a certain range of railway stations. Opposite the name of each town is the name of the nearest railway station and the number of the page in which such station is shown in the index of the time table. The list will be kept up to date. Other good features of the book showing the many ways in which the railways are helpful to the public are well maintained. A Good Investment of Sixpence. TELEPHONE YOUR TELEGRAMS NO ADDITIONAL COST Telephone subscribers may now telephone to the Telegraph Office telegrams for onward transmission. The ordinary telegraph charges will be included in the usual toll account. Arrangements may also be made for incoming telegrams to be telephoned to subscribers immediately upon receipt.
