OBITUARY

MRS ALEXANDRIA INGLIS Mrs Alexandrina Inglis, who died in Dunedin yesterday at the age of 94 years, was a native of Elgin, in the Scottish Highlands. She came out to New Zealand in the early eighties rnd was for some time at Linburn Station, Central Otago. She later resided, in Dunedin for a few years, but eventually, towards the end of 1888, settled in Waikouaiti, where she remained until 1926. Although of a retiring nature, Mrs Inglis took a keen interest in the Presbyterian Church at Waikouaiti. She and her sister, who died at Waikouaiti, were ardent supporters of the late Sir Thomas Mackenzie and gave him a Highland welcome whenever he visited the district. Her husband, Mr John Inglis, died in 1925, at the age of 86 years. There was no family. Mrs Inglis- had been an inmate of Ross Home for the past ■nine years.
