CRASH IN FLAMES
BRITISH PLANE SHOT DOWN TRIBESMEN RESPONSIBLE (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright,) LONDON, May 10. (Received May 10, at 11 p.m.) The Bagdad correspondent of The Times says: " A British aeroplane which was flying over an area in the Middle Euphrates provinces, where some tribes recently revolted, was fired on and crashed in flames." The occupants of the crashed machine were Pilot-officer Newman and Aircraftsman Hawkins. The Air Ministry announces that the machine was engaged in reconnaissance duties, and has not yet been located. — Times Cable.
