CLIFF CRASHES INTO SEA

LOOK-OUT STATION'S ESCAPE. With a roar resembling heavy gunfire a portion of the 100-foot high cliff near Warden Point, Sheppey, crashed into the sea on a recent morning. The coastal patrol look-out station on the cliff just missed being engulfed in the crash of thousands of tons of earth, and was left standing in a perilous position. During recent years erosion on this part of the coast has been very rapid. Many acres of land have been washed away.
