JEFFERY STREET, ANDERSON'S BAY

TO HIE EDITOR

Sir, —May I call attention to the state of the thoroughfare in Anderson's Bay, known as Jeffery street? There is a considerable pedestrian traffic on this street, as it carries the traffic between the tram terminus and the Karitane Hospital, as well as the Glendining Cottage Homes. Yet there is not a decent footpath for the whole of its length. I trust that the new council will at once take steps to have something done for the comfort of (hose persons who use the street. The vehicular traffic also requires some consideration; the surface of the roadway can do with improvement.—l am, etc., Pedestrian.
