INCREASE IN WAGES ACCEPTANCE SUBJECT TO BALLOT. (Per United Press Association) 1 AUCKLAND, May 6. A meeting of the northern miners’ section of the United Coal Mine Workers of Now Zealand, held at Huntly on Saturday evening, heard the report of the delegate to the conference with the owners at Wellington, and the following resolution was carried; — “ That in the opinion of this meeting the recommendation of the National Council to accept the coal mine owners offer of a 5 per cent, increase bo accepted, subject to a ballot at the mine mouth.”
