English women’s hands are growing larger. Before 1914 the most popular size in women’s gloves was s|. Now the main demand is for sizes 6J and Oif. There is also a steady call for sizes up to 7J. Wireless listeners in Japan have to pay one shilling a mouth; the broadcasting stations, partly Government controlled, show a profit of about £200,000 a year.
