The temperature at 4 p.m. was 49.9 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, May 6. The weather to-day was wet and cold, with snow on the Port Hills and a moderate south-west wind. The maximum temperature was 50 degrees. The barometer is rising slowly, and now reads 29.90 in.
