MEETING OF DUNEDIN CENTRE The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Bowling Centre was held on Saturday evening. Mr -J. Forster occupied the chair. The secretary of the Central Otago : Bowling Centre wrote thanking the Dunedin Centre for its hospitality to the Central team during its visit* to Dunedin. —Received. The secretary of the Leith Bowling -' Club wrote inviting members of the ; executive to the Leith Club's prizegiving social on May 15.—Received. In reply to a letter from the Dunedin '* Centre, the secretary of the New Zealand Bowling Association wrote advising that it was considered that any approved bowl would be eligible to be loaded, ■'. provided the maximum weight for size » ' as laid down by the standard recently l adopted was not exceeded.—After a short discusison, the following resolution was carried:—"That this meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Bowling Centre is of the opinion that the execu- " tive of the New Zealand Bowling Association had no jurisdiction to declare " that any bowl could be weighted, as ite * decision is in conflict with the resolu- " tions regarding approved bowls passed at • the annual meeting in July last." —It was decided to forward a copy of the motion to the New Zealand Association.
