APPLICATIONS FOR RIGHTS At the last sitting of the Warden's Court n| Lawrence a fairly large number of applications for mining privileges were'dcalt with, as under:— Charles A. Hutton (Dunedin). —Three*' applications for prospecting licenses over 188 acres Crown lands, at Table Hill.—Granted. Sailors' Gully Sluicing Company (Wai'tahuna). —Special alluvial claim of 145 acres, block 5,'; Waitahuna East survey district.—Granted. The surrender by the company of five mining privileges at Wai tahuna Gully was accepted by the warden. Reginald C. Reid (Whenukoa). — Special alluvial claim of 19 acres in Waitahuna West and Tuapeka West districts. —Granted; work to be commenced within three months. George Pettigrew and James H. Cunningham (Manuka Creek)- Prospecting license over ,24 'acres in i block 52, Adams Flat, and also water race.— Granted Charles Collins and Party.—Special alluvial claim of six acres, also water race, Crbokston survey .district.— Granted • Kcnreth E. Ross (Whenuakoa). — Prospecting license over 14 acres in block 19, Tuapeka East, and also water race from old Tamaiti dam. —Granted. John W. H.
