SPEEDWAY RIDER

INVITATION TO ENGLAND. (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 13. R. Phillips, the Wellington speedway rider, has received an invitation through Mr J. S. Hoskins, & New Zealander, who is a prominent figure in the control of the speedway sport in England, to link up with West Ham, where he will ride under the captaincy of “Tiger” Stevenson, at present in Wellington. Phillips will leave by the Rarsgitiki on Friday with Stevenson and other speedway riders, including J. Hobson, of Christchurch.
