CANTERBURY v. SOUTH ' ' ' CANTERBURY A LOW-SCORING GAME (Peb United Peess Association) TIMARU, February 27. A representative cricket match between Canterbury and South Canterbury commenced to-day in glorious weather. The outfield was alow as a result of the recent rain. The home side battejl first and made 100, S. Mason (captain) being the only batsman to make a stand. The visitors’ early batsmen slumped, eight wickets being down for. 88'runs, but Kerr and Roberts, star batsmen, went in last and made an excellent stand, carrying the total to 160.
