Angling Conditions Owing to the steady fall of rain, the Shag River is now up to its usual level.

ROXBURGH Welcome Rain The rain which set in yesterday morning continued all day, and for the 24 hours 148 points fell. It was a soft, steady rain, and will do an inestimable amount of good. This district has been fortunate this season in that there has never been a shortage of. water, though the need of irrigation has been greater. The new reservoir erected some months ago by the Borough Council provided an excellent supply for all purposes for the town, and it was never necessary to impose restrictions or counsel economy. The additions made to the wall at Laks Onslow two seasons ago also ensured a full supply for irrigation and power. The level of the lake was gradually droppim, but the recent rain has removed any cause for anxiety.
