Reports of meetings of branoaes are requested, but the; should be furnished promptly, for the publication of reports that are not supplied within « week from the date of the meeting cannot be assured. Due to the fact that Mrs T. R. Barrer, formerly associate editor of the New Zealand Countrywoman, will leave in about two months' time on a trip to England, it became necessary at a recent meeting of the Dominion Executive of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union to appoint someone to fill her place during her absence. Mrs C. K. Wilson, of the King Country, was unanimously selected for this position, and Mrs C. Benton, of South Taranaki, consented to assist her in every possible way. Mrs Barrer was appointed to represent the Women's Division to the Associated Countrywomen of the World, with which body the division this week affiliated. Mrs Barrer's son, Mr R. M. Barrer, is a Rhodes scholar at Cambridge University, having been sent from Canterbury College/ and she is mak ing the, trip to pay. him a visit.
