GOVERNMENT REGULATION MR BENNETT’S PROMISE (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telejraph —Copyright.) TORONTO, December 15. (Received Dec. 16, at 11 p.m.) “ More and more business may be expected to be regulated by the Government,” Mr R. B. Bennett told the Com-, mercial Travellers’ Association. “ That is not a prophecy, but a promise.” Sir Robert Falconer urged the formation of a full-time Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Canada. He said that if Britain formed an alliance with Japan, Canada would be forced to take a stand as between Britain and the United States. “We must not be crushed by inherited hatreds and the Pacific must not become for us a Europe.”
