SEA DIVING RECORD

ITALIAN OFFICER'S CLAIM UNDER FOR EIGHT HOURS BRINDISI, November 27. Warrant Officer Campagnoli, chief diver at the Brindisi naval base, claims the world record for diving. When seeking a lost torpedo he stayed under the water for eight consecutive hours at depths varying from 12ft to 72ft. After reporting the result of the search he dived again and stayed below for a further one and a-half hours.
