THE LONDON SCHEME WORK TO BE CONTINUED (British Official Wlrelesß.) RUGBY, November 10. (Received Nov. 12, at 5.5 p.m.) Major L. Hore-Belisha (Financial Secretary to the Treasury) has decided to set aside the Advisory Committee's recommendation that work on pedestrian crossings in London, including laying down studs in the roadway and the erection of beacons on the footpaths, should be discontinued pending a consultation. Major HoreTßelisha says any alteration must inevitably . confuse the public and he intends to adhere to the plan of laying

10,000 crossings. The Minister has ordered the London scheme to be extended to the rest of the country.
