MAGISTRATE’S COURT

Thursday, October 11. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) UNDEFENDED CASES. Judgment by default was given for the plaintiffs in the following cases:— Cooke, Howlison and Co., Ltd., v. John B. Pyper (Clydevale), claim £7 3s for goods supplied, with costs (£1 I6s 6d); Sarah Harris Collins Kay v, Frederick Trusler (Otanm), claim £ll 5s 6d for board and lodging and money lent, with costs (£2 16s); Rcddell’s. Ltd., v. John Jarvis, claim £3 15a for goods supplied, with costs (£1 3s Gd). JUDGMENT SUMMONS. W. Penrose and Co., Ltd., v. Edna Ncvill, claim £6 Cs 7d on a judgment summons. —Mr G. T. Baylee appeared for the judgment creditor, and Mr C. M. Barnett for the debtor. —Evidence aa to her circumstances was tendered by the debtor, and the matter was adjourned until October 16.
