WORLD’S CHAMPIONSHIP NEW ZEALAND TEAM SELECTED. The secretary of_ the Otago Croquet Association has received notification from the secretary of the New Zealand Croquet Council that the following players have been selected to make the trip to Australia to take part in the world’s first international croquet championships, leaving New Zealand on January 10, returning early in March:—Mrs W E. Caldow (Wellington), Mrs W. N. Corbet (Dunedin), Captain F, L. Hartnell (New Plymouth), Mr A. G. F. Ross (Christchurch), Mr H. P. Stratton (Hastings), Should any of the above not be available Sirs Anstiss (Palmerston North) is the next selection. The date of the Dominion Tournament, usually played about mid-January, has been postponed until March to allow the players in the touring team, and also the English players who are visiting the Dominion in March, an opportunity of competing in the Dominion Championships.
