THE MATTER OF THE PROA POSED EXTENSION TO THE BREAKWATER OF THE PORT OF OAMARU AND IN THE MATTER OF A BILL TO BE INTITULED “THE OAMARU HARBOUR BOARD ENABLING ACT 1934.” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Oamaru Harbour Board to introduce a Bill during the present session of Parliament relative to the work of extending the Breakwater at the Port of Oamaru. Doubts have arisen as to whether the Board is empowered under existing legislation to proceed with the aforesaid work and whilst the Board claims that it has such powers it is deemed advisable to set such doubts at rest.
