KING APPROVES APPOINTMENTS

RUGBY, September 17. (Received Sept. 18, at 5.5 p.m.) The King has approved the following appointments in the diplomatic service: —Mr George Warner, counsellor in the Foreign Office, to be Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Berne, and Mr John Murray, counsellor at the Embassy at Rome, to be Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Mexico City.
