WRESTLING

GUS SONNENBERG v- ALI BEY. This season’s wrestling has been more than unusually interesting and, following the appearance of Dan Kolofl, one of the world’s best, Gus Sonnenberg is due to appear in Dunedin on Saturday night. Sonnenberg is a former world’s champion, the wrestler that toppled “Strangler” Lewis from his throne with the flying tackle, and thus reached the highest class in the mat game. Sonnenberg is having a flying visit to. the Dominion, and is wrestling with the best, one of whom is the Turk, AH Bey. Sonnenberg needs no introduction, ranking as he does with Browning, Ed. George, and all the best that America, the home of modern wrestling, can produce. It is not often New Zealanders can see a real champion in action, and the fact that Sonnenberg will be pitted against the strongest wrestler at present in the country, will make for added interest. There will be the usual preliminaries. Particulars are advertised.
