ST. CLAIR CLUB. ■ A close game iu the final of the St. Clair Golf Club's knock-out competition for the Paterson Cup resulted in a win for T). S. M'Lean, who defeated J; Luff by 1 up over 38 holes. M'Lcau, who had ,to concede 14 strokes to his oppoueut,..took the lead, early in the game aud had to play good golf to get his win, the match being concluded by M'Lean holing a long putt, r on the last green. . , - , fThe Stroke Handicap, which dfew only a moderate entry, : resulted as follows:—-.
