For the first time for three centuries, there was recently a wedding in the ruined abbey of Kinloss, which was destroyed by Croniwell's soldiers. The bride was Miss Elizabeth Grant Peterkin, only daughter of Colonel M. J. Grant Peterkin, of Grange, the County Convener of Moray and Nairn. The bridegroom was Mr J. G. Cumine, an Aberdeen bank clerk: The ceremony, which was performed by the Bishop of Moray ahd Ross, took place in the tiny chapel capable of holding only 23 people.
