NUMBER OF LICENSES ISSUED (Per United Press association.) WELLINGTON, September 13. According to figures supplied by the Director-general of the Post and Telegraph Department (Mr G. M'Namara), the number of motor vehicle licenses issued up to July 31 of this year totalled 164,534. These figures are those up to the end of June, plus registration plates issued in July, which may not be all new registrations. Still, the figures are a fairly accurate record of the total number of registrations for the whole of the Dominion.
