DAL COSTA v. CLARRIE RAYNER. To-morrow’s boxing contest between the Australian bantam-weight, Dal_ Costa, and the New Zealand feather-weight champion, Clarrie Raynor, should have considerable attraction for boxing enthusiasts. Dal Costa is bantam-weight champion of New South Wales, and on his return one of his first matches will ‘be for the Commonwealth title held by Brandon. Rayner gave a good display at last season’s amateur championships, and after winning the Dominion title, turned professional, and almost immediately won the feather-weight championship. He still holds the title, A fast, clean exhibition of fighting should be seen. > There will be the usual amateur preliminaries. Particulars are advertised. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. The entries received for the boxing championships next week numbered . 84, but they have been reduced to 77, as follows:; —Fly-weight 6,"bantam 9, feather 10, light 13, welter 14, middle 9, lightheavy 7, heavy 7. Robinson (Marlborough), Kelly (Auckland), v. Evans (Motueka). . Feather-weight. Fisher (Christchurch), v’. Borcovsky (Marlborough), Gordon (Taranaki) v. Aitken (Wellington), Spencer (Southland) v. Hawes (Grcymonth), Stock (Hawke’s Bay) v. Evans (Motueka). ~ Light-weight.-—Elsinore (Nelson) -v. Gibbons (Manawatu), Jarvis (Taranaki), V. (Gisborne), Hawkins (Greymouth) -v. Ramsay (Otago), Murray (Wellington) v. Nelligau (Christchurch). Welter-weight.—Taylor (Hawkes Bay) v. Candy, (Marton), Hopkins (Manawatu) v. Jack (Southland). Arbuthnott (Wellington) v.
