TALKING PICTURE COMPANY
The New Zealand talking picture company has now completed most of the preliminary work in connection with the production of its first feature film, and is now ready to receive applications for aspirants fqy film work. Attention is drawn to an advertisement in this issue, and the producers desire to point out that there are a few parts for talented children. The main location for New Zealand’s first “ talkie ” feature film will be at Woodside, in the Taieri. the exact locale being a fine old homestead 'probably one of the earliest in the Otago district), now the property of Mr B. S. Irwin. Mr Irwin has consented to give full facilities for the making of the picture in these ideal surroundings. Tl would tie indeed hard to. find more suitable conditions iti New Zealand than at Woodside, as the scenery is delightful, the hush and its contrasting pasture lands, its historic homestead and streams, gardens, and glen forming a natural background very hard to eclipse.
