THE KUROW DISTRICT

The contractors have made good progress with the erection of the Kurow Memorial Hall. The present contract has been sufficiently completed to allow a bazaar and “ tug o’ war " to be held for the purpose of raising funds for its completion. The hall will include a speciallysprung dancing floor, and the latest recess flood lighting system. The following artthe results of the tug of war to date:— Waimate beat J. Dickie’s team, Hydrfbeat Otiake, Oamaru beat "Stop Outs," Waimate beat Hydro, Oamaru beat Hakr Valley, J. Dickie’s team beat Otekaike. Mr Einer Christianson carried out the duties of M.CL
