RUAPEHU SKI CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS CONCLUDED. (Per United Press Association) THE CHATEAU, August 29. Good weather again prevailed for the concluding day of life New Zealand amateur ski championships on Mount ituapehu. The Interclub Relay Race was held, but the Championship Jump was abandoned owing to the lack of a suitable jumping hill under the present snow conditions. During the Relay Race E. C. A. Ferrier, of the Canterbury Winter Sports Club, fell and was struck on the head. A following competitor assisted him off the course, but his injuries were not serious. Detailed results of the contests arc as follows: The Interclub Relay Race resulted as follows:—Mount Egmont Alpine Club (H. E. Murphy, H. Snowdon, Misses P. and J. Murphy) 1; Christchurch Ski Club (W. My lire, L. H. Frankel, Mrs A. B. Edwards, Miss L. Payt n) 2; Tasman Ski Club (H. H. El worthy, R. Wigley, Miss P. Boyd Wilson, Miss C. Weston) 3. Nine teams competed. New Zealand Ski Running Championship (decided on the combined performances in the Downhill and the Slalom races earlier in the meeting).—!. W. Mitchell (Australia), 100 points, 1; Brian M’Millan (Stratford Mountain Club), 74.04, 2; H. H. E]worthy (Tasman Ski Club), 72.90, 3. Last year’s winner was H. H. Elworthy. Women’s Championship (decided on the same events).—Mrs A, B. Edwards (Christchurch Ski Club), 100 points, I; Miss P. Murphy ( Mount Egmont Alpine Club), 91.25, 2; Miss J. Beale (Stratford Mountain Club), 88.01, 3.
