;v; :;, - ANNUAL MEETING . •' There* -was a good attendance; at the annual, meeting, of the Waitahuna Farmers’ Club, whenthe report, and balance sheet for the year was .presented. The president (Mr H; B. M'Corkiudale) occupied the chair. - s ’-t' -i . The report showed a decrease in‘ the balance of ill 12s 9d, the receipts, with balance of ;f»4 Is; 3d brought forward, being £145 65,; -and .expenditure , £lO2 lls 6d,; leaying' a credit of £42 8s: 6d, The. president, mbying’\the ; ,adaption of the report and balance sheet, pointed : out that since-, the abandonment of the show for-the fourth year, in succession, the sheep dip was their only 'source of- revenue, and,, although the - returns showed a loss,.the position -\i:,as fairly satisfactory. t The dip was : a public utility and. ip ,an' ertdeavour to give cheap dipping to the users, possibly they had fixed their charges ratherdow. The secretary ;gave ah outline of the actual receipts and. expenditure of the dip, and, after some discussion, the- report and -balance; sheet were- adopted. The previous; executive was re-elected as: follows-President, ~ ;Mr. H> B. M'Corkindale; vice-presidents, Messrs J. M- Rose and R.
