FAT SHEEP FIRMER Fat Cattle.—A large yarding of 357 head came forward for yesterday's market. Included in the entry were several consignments of prime quality bullocks and three or four trucks of prime cows and heifers. The quality, taken all oyer, was not quite so good as last week’s yarding. At the commencement of the sale competition was not very keen, and values opened easier on last week’s rates by 10s to 15s per head for bullocks and about 10s easier for cows and heifers. Ab the sale progressed, owing to outside. competition, prices firmed, and, taken all over, a drop of approximately 10s per head could be recorded. Values were: — Extra prime heavy bullocks, to £l4 7s Gd; prime heavy, £lO 12s Gd to £l3 2s Gd; medium, f$ 15s to £9 17s Gd; light, £6 10s to £8; extra prime heifers, to £lo 2s 6d; prime heifers, £8 to £9; medium heifers, £6 10s to £7 15s; light, Jo to £6 ss; extra prime cows, to £8 17s Gd; medium, £6 to £7 ss; light, £4 to £5 15s.
