The mystery of two bags of registered mail which were thought to have disappeared from the North German Lloyd liner Europa, while in transit from New York to London,' was cleared up. After the landing of the mail the tallies showed that two bags were missing. ' Inquiries established that these mail bags were sent away in an aeroplane which was catapulted from the Europa while she was off Southampton. The “ missing ”, mail nags were safe.
