LAW STUDENTS’ DEBATING SOCIETY

At the last meeting for the year of the Law Students’ Debating Society the judge for the evening was Mr G. M. Lloyd and the subject for debate was the desirability of the introduction of Fascism in Great Britain in place of the present parliamentary system. The speakers for the affirmative were Mr K. Stewart and Mr J. Paterson, and for the negative, Mr N. French and Mr F. Evans. After an interesting discussion the judge awarded the debate to the negative, the following speakers being placed:—Mr L. Moller 1, Mr F. Evans 2, Mr K. Stewart 3, Mr N. French 4. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the judge for his services and helpful criticism.
