GOOD TEMPLARY

The Rescue Lodge, No. 105, International Order of Good Templars, met on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance of members, visitors also beinpj present from Star of Freedom, Hope ot Cavershnm, and Hope of Dunedin lodges. The presiding officer was Sister M. Thomas, chief templar. One member was received on the re-admission ceremony, lie; ports were received on the meeting of Dunedin District Lodge from the secretary of the Grand Lodge Diamond Jubilee Celebrations Committee, and a balance sheet and report on the thirtieth anniversary concert recently _ held. The programme was under the direction of Sister E. Brooks (superintendent of educational work), and several members read articles dealing with the temperance movement. Sister Mrs Beath rendered a recitation, lind eolos were sung by Sister Mrs Donaldson and A. Steedman.
