MEETING OF DUNEDIN CENTRE ■ A meeting of the Dunedin Bowling Centre was held last night. The president. (Mr J. Forster) was in the chair, and there was a full attendance of club delegates. '■' The chairman extended a welcome to new members —Messrs J. Knowles, S. Hutchison, H. Cook, W. Richards, and W. R. Howard.

A minute of appreciation of the services of retiring ( members was passed. The names specially mentioned • were Messrs A.-F. Rawlinson, W. J. Thompson, J. H. Hardie, E. Mullinger, and J. Veitch.

Two suggested programmes for the Saturday mterclub matches were' submitted and discussed in detail. It was left to the Draw Committee to finalise the matches.

Sullivan, who had'been a staunch supporter of bowling in Dunedin.-r;The question was discussed, and several members pointed out that if the centre continued to reward good services, they would soon have an. imposing list. • Several members thought it was not in keeping with the original purpose in so naming the day.—lt was finally decided, that the day be renamed Club Day.

The Brighton Club was granted affiliation to the' Centre. It was decided to hold the Christmas tournament as usual. The'executive recommended that on the day when the Adess Shield was being played the Centre arrange a rink tournament for .leads and seconds, in ordinary club games, if sufficient inducement offered.
