WEATHER FORECAST. The following is the official weather forecast:— An anti-cyclone now extends from Tasmania across the Tasman and over New Zealand. Pressure has fallen on the New South Wales coast. Indications are for: Winds—South-west to south-east; moderate to strong, but decreasing over the North Island; light, and becoming variable over the South Island. Seas—New Zealand waters—Rather rough on the east coast from Cook Strait northwards, elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea —Moderate south to east winds and moderate seas. . The Union Company’s steamer Kaltarlkl, of 887 tons, arrived at Wellington last Thursday morning from Newcastle. This is the first time for several years that she has visited New Zealand. She was to sail on Saturday for Greymouth, whence she will return to Melbourne. The Port Hardy, from Port Kcmbla, was due at Bluff yesterday, and Is to commence loading there to-day. Her other ports are Tlmaru, New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Wellington. The Port Hardy is to sail from Wellington on August 17 for Southampton and London, via Cape Horn. The Union Company’s Karepo is to leave Adelaide to-day, Edlthburg to-morrow and Melbourne on August 3 for Newcastle and Sydney to complete loading for Auckland and Wellington. The Orient liner Qrama arrived at Fremantle on July 24 from London. She Is scheduled to reach Sydney on Wednesday. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS, Waiplata, which arrived yesterday from Bluff, Is timed to sail this afternoon for Oamaru, Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. Gale sailed on Saturday evening for Oamaru, Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. Parcra sailed on Saturday night for Wellington, Nelson, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Port Waikato, via ports. Walnul is due at Dunedin this morning from Wellington to load general cargo. She will sail to-morrow afternoon for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne, via ports. Holmdale Is due here this morning from Wellington, and is timed to sail to-night for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via ports. Breeze Is due at Dunedin to-morrow from Bluff to load general cargo. She Is timed to sail to-morrow evening for Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth, via ports. Walmarino la to leave Auckland on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She Is due at Dunedin on August 8. WAIRUNA FOR MELBOURNE. Having discharged the Dunedin portion of her general cargo from Vancouver, the Walruns sailed on Saturday morning for Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge. She will proceed thence to Newcastle, Fiji and Vancouver. GABRIELLA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Union Company’s Gabrlella, from Grafton and Newcastle, left Sydney last, Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Greymouth. She la due at Dunedin about August 4. PORT FAIRY FROM LONDON. The C. and D. Line has received cabled advice that the motor ship Port Fairy, from London, reached Suva on July 25. .She was to leave the Island port on July 27 for Dunedin, Lyttelton and Oamaru to complete discharge, and Is due at Dunedin on August 2. AORANGI LEAVES HONOLULU. The C.-A. motor liner Aorangl, en route from Vancouver, left Honolulu on July 25 for Suva and Auckland. She Is due at Auckland at 8 a.m. on August 6, and will leave again that night for Sydney. THE CANADIAN CONQUEROR. The Canadian Conqueror sailed from Montreal on July 23 for Dunedin and Lyttelton,,via Australia. She Is due at Dunedin on September 22, and at Lyttelton on September 25. MANUKA AT SAN FRANCISCO. The Union Company’s R.M.S. Makura, from Sydney and Wellington, via Rarotonga and Papeete, arrived at San Francisco on July 27. She Is scheduled to leave there again on August 1 for Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington and Sydney, and Is duo at Wellington on August 20. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor ship Port Hobart Is scheduled to leave New York to-day for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She Is due at Auckland early in September. A STOLEN LAUNCH. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 20. The Acting Director-general of the Post and Telegraph Department has received the following message, broadcast by Brisbane radio:— “ All ships are requested to keep a look-out for Ihe missing launch Derwent, 41 feet by 12 feet. The launch, which Is painted while, with two masts and a glassed wheel-house, Is reported to have been stolen from Brisbane on Friday.” FISCUS WITH SULPHUR. The steamer Flscus arrived at this port on Saturday morning from Ancona (Italy), via Auckland and New Plymouth. She was berthed at the Ravensbourne wharf to discharge a part cargo of sulphur. Captain E. Williams Is in command, and his officers are: Chief, Mr .7. H. Regan; second, Mr R. Bennett; third, Mr J. Wilson; wireless operator, Mr P. Kelly; chief engineer, Mr E. Houston ; second, Mr E. Harrison; third, Mr C. Jackson : fourth, Mr C. Jose. lIAURAKI FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company’s motor ship Hauraki, from Los Angeles, with cargo from Vancouver, was due at Cook Islands on July 26. She should arrive at Auckland on August 3. The vessel has cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. lady CHARLOTTE WITH PHOSPHATES. The steamer Lady Charlotte left Ocean Island on July 23 with 7100 tons of phosphates for Auckland and Wanganui. She is a ship of 3874 tons gross and Is owned by the Redwood Steam Navigation Company, London, and was built at Nowcastle-on-Tyne in 19X5. Her former names were Noclle and Bronze Wings. WESTMORELAND AT SOUTHAMPTON. The Westmoreland, which sailed from Napier on June 16 for Southampton, London, and Hull, arrived at Southampton on the morning of July 25. ! CANADIAN NATIONAL STEAMERS. 1 The Canadian Cruiser, which left Lyttelton I on June 27 for New York, Boston and Montreal, and the Canadian Scottish, which sailed from Tlmaru on June 23 for the same ports, are hnth reported to have passed through the Panama canal. The Canadian Britisher, which loft Wellington on May 22 for New York, Boston, and Montreal, via Australia, arrived at New York on July 17, and left the following day tor Boston, which port she reached on July 20. She left the same day for Montreal. RANGITATA LEAVES LONDON. Advice received by the New Zealand bhipping Company states that the Rangltata left London on July 26 for Wellington and Auckland, via the Panama canal. She Is duo at Wellington on August 29. RANGITANE TO LOAD. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the motor liner Rangitnne has been fixed to load products at Port Chalmers on August IS for London. She will complete loading at northern ports. TALKING PICTURES ON MARAMA. Before her last sailing from Wellington, the Union Company’s Intercolonial vessel Marama was fitted with talking pictures. It Is reported that they have proved very successful, and that they are of great Interest to passengers. The talking apparatus has been Installed In the lounge.
