SUCCESSFUL RIBBON PARADE A very large attendance of dog gathered in the Town Hall basement on Saturday evening, when the Otago Kennel Club held a successful ribbon parade, which attracted entries from a great many breeders and fanciers. In the quality and number of entries alone the exhibition was outstanding, and the judges had a long and difficult task in selecting the prize-winners in the various sections. The breeds represented in the parade were as numerous as they were widely diversified, and ranged from a pair of tiny Pomeranian puppies to a giant St. Bernard weighing upwards of 11 stone, and a pair of magnificent Borzois, the aristocrats of the canine world. The club is indebted to the owners of the St. Bernards and the Borzois, Mr J. Dick and Mr Austen respcctvoly, for bringing their animals to the parade, as they were one of the great attractions of the show, the St. Bernard, whoso mighty bulk dwarfed oven the powerful Alsatians, being the centre of interest during the parade. The judges were as follows:—Sporting dogs, Mr A. Begg; terriers and toys, Air K. W. Brown; Alsatians, bulldogs, and collies, Ails M. Thompson; all other breeds, Air G. Allan.
