ST. KILDA QUEEN CARNIVAL

CORONATION CEREMONY. The coronation ceremony in connection with the St. Kilda Beach Improvement Society's Queen Carnival will be held in His Majesty's Theatre next Tuesday evening. Preparations for this event have been going forward for some time past and the producers are aiming at presenting a highly spectacular scene. The procedure is based upon that followed in last year's Dunedin carnival queen- coronation, so that the public may rely upon being able. to witness and 'mjoy a feast of pageantry. The concert part of the programme will also be of a high order, - and will include the popular " Silver Lining" ballet from " Sally," as well as other dance items, vocal and instrumental offerings and humour. During the evening the art union, which was a big factor in raising funds during the carnival, will be drawn. The box plan is now open at Beggs, and dress circle and orchestral stalls seats may bo reserved without extra charge.
