Scotsmen will get cheap birth certificates under the Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Hill, which passed through the House of Commons Standing Committee in less than half an hour recently. Mr Train, M.P., proposed the issue of the new abbreviated certificate, which will cost 6d. It will contain only the name, sex, date, and place of birth of the person to whom it refers.
