THE WEATHER

The -weather yesterday was overcast and unsettled. Light showers fell during the day. A light south-west wind was blowing, and the maximum temperature was 46 degrees. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, June 20. There was a considerable improvement in the weather to-day, the wind continuing moderate from the north-east. Occasional showers were experienced during the morning, but afterwards the conditions were fine. The barometer continued falling until the afternoon, then it steadied at 29.70 in. WELLINGTON, June 20. Dull, misty conditions prevailed to-day. The southerly, wind freshened in the afternoon, and the temperature became colder. At 4 p.m. it was 49.2 degrees, and the maximum during the day was 53.5., * CHRISTCHURCH, June 20.

The weather to-day was wet and overcast, with a moderate south-west wind. The maximum temperature Wils 47-9 degrees. The barometer wag steady at about 29.98. A steady light rain is falling. *■
