All coal merchants. — Advt An order was made by the Bow street magistrate recently for the commissioner of police to deliver a ring worth £IOO to Mr H. E. Lait, a jeweller, of Earle’s Court, London. It was explained that in April, 1933, Mr Lait bought what appeared to be old junk from a girl. He gave the girl 2s 6d, but while cleaning the articles he found the ring. He took it to the police, and it bad not boon claimed. The magistrate said that Mr Lait acted “ very properly " in taking the ring to the police.
