WOUND IN THROAT LABOURER POUND DEAD. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 19. An unemployed labourer, Alexander Coburn, aged 63, was found dead at his home in Tory street last night with a wound in the throat, suggesting suicide. MOTOR ACCIDENT IN TIMARU DEATH OF A VICTIM. (Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, June 19. Two young men were admitted to the Timaru Hospital late last night as a result of injuries received through being knocked down by a motor car. The accident took place at the intersection of Selwyn street and' Wai-iti road. It is understood (says the . Timaru Herald) that* three young men, Ivan Smith, aged 18, of Quarry road,. G. Elgin, Hobbs street, and another were walking up Wai-iti road, anti on reaching the Selwyn street corner they commenced to cross the road. A car driven by Mr J. R. Nimmo, of Dunedin, wjiich was proceeding up Wai-iti road, struck Smith and Elgin, who wereithrown heavily.

Dr C. A. Paterson was called to the scene, and he ordered the removal of the injured men to the hospital. When the St. John Ambulance arrived Smith, who was badly hurt about the head,, was still unconscious, and died in the hospital to-night. Elgin's injuries are not serious.

COLLISION WITH MOTOR CAR

Thomas Rutherford,' aged 14 years, who resides with his parents at 13 Wills street, was riding a bicycle when he collided with a motor ear in Mailer street, Mornington. He received injuries to his head, and was admitted to the Hospital at 11.55 a.in. His condition is not serious.
