A letter was read at the Police Court 1 at Dunster, Somerset, from a man wh* did not appear to answer a summons for driving a car without a license oa,theground that he had just been married; The letter said: “My excuse for this i-r I' have just got married and had other things to think about. I enclose mf license and my marriage certificate- ft* proof, and a stamped ; addressed envelop? for their return.” . Amid general laughter the case was dismissed.
