' FIVE MEN BEFORE COURT ACCUSED REMANDED ON BAIL. (Per United Press association.) PALMERSTON N., June 11. Arising out of a street incident on Saturday, when the police prevented a procession by the unemployed, five men—Enc Anderson, aged 22; Frank Lee, aged 32; Arthur Williams Beere, aged 47; John Hansen, aged 28; and Sydney John Riceappeared before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M. Anderson, Lee, and Beere were charged with obstructing the police in the execution of their duty, Hansen with inciting persons to resist the police, and Rice with using obscene language. All were remanded on bail till next Monday. , „ ~ .. Inspector Rawle stated for the police that Rice’s case was different from the others. In the cases of Anderson, Lee, Beere, and Hansen, all four accused were prohibited from attending demonstrations in the interim.
