Vice-Reg At. ! The Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe), accompanied by Lady Bledisloe, visited a class conducted by the New Zealand League for the Hard of Hearing yesterday. Their Excellencies will leave Auckland to-day for Tauranga, where they will spend a few days before going into residence in Wellington. Mr W. Downie Stewart, M.P. ( left Dunedin yesterday morning on a visit to Invercargill. ■ J. Mr H. H. Sykes travelled by yesterdays express: from Dunedin to Christchurch. Mr Richard Hudson travelled, by yesterday’s express from Dunedin to Christchurch. '• u Mr A. W. Hazelwood was a passenger by yesterday’s express for the north, en route to Wellington. ■ _ , , Mr S. Bowman and Mr J. Dunlop left Dunedin yesterday morning for Wellington to attend a meeting of the Dairy Produce Board. . ' . . Inspector D. Cameron, iwho is in charge of the Greymouth police district, is at present on a holiday visit to Dunedin. - The Rev. W. Maclean, of Coluniba ■Church, Oamaru, who baa just returned from Australia, has received, a call, to St. Andrew’s Church, Bendigo (Victoria). The Mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox) will, leave this morning for Wellington, where he' will attend the quarterly meeting of ■the executive of the Municipal Association of New Zealand. He expects tq be absent from Dunedin for a week. Stationed in Iraq with one of the Royal Air Force bombing squadrons and now on leave (says a Press Association telegram), Flying Officer L. S. Lamb, of Mastertom arrived at: Wellington by the Maiinganui yesterday. Flying-officer Lamb is a member of the squadron which is located at Hinaidi, Iraq. He intends to return to Iraq in September. _ Advice has been received that Mr K. G. S incock, at present on the staff of the Government Tourist Bureau at Wanganui, is under transfer to take charge of the Dunedin office, and will commence duty here at the end of next month. Mr R. S. Vercoe, of Otago (vice-presi-dent), and Messrs H. H. Johnson (Otago), C. R. Mackie-, and R. S. H. Buchanan (Canterbury), members of the Executive Committee of the Dominion Federation of School Committees’ Associations of New Zealand, visited Timaru on Saturday for a meeting of the executive of the federation.
