ALLEGED FALSE PRETENCES
EXTRADITION PROCEEDINGS DISMISSED ON TECHNICAL POINT. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, June 10. Proceedings to have Charles Ernest Vickers, Australian company promoter, extradited from Melbourne to Wellington to face a charge of false pretences in connection with the Craftsman Manufacturing Company of New Zealand, Ltd., have Been dismussed on a technical point by the court in Melbourne, and Detective Sergeant Jarrold, of. Wellington, who went to Melbourne to bring Vickers back, is returning alone on the Monowai, which will arrive at Auckland to-morrow. The New Zealand police will decide the nest step to be taken when the detectivesergeant returns and when information on the subject hag been received from Melbourne. Police proceedings are in train for the extradition from London of Ernest Mabin Gilmour, New Zealand company manager, also on a charge of false pretences in connection with the Craftsman Manufacturing Company.
