BATCHELOR HOSPITAL

MEETING OF LADIES' GUILD The .annual meeting of the Batchelor Hospital Ladies' Guild was held yesterday afternoon in the Knox Church s>un<iay School Hall, and was attended by a good number of members. The adoption of the annual report was moved by Mrs J. M. Gallaway. who referred to the excellent work which had been done during the past year, f'he uuild had had 30 active members and tour associate members, and during the period 100 garments had been made and given to the hospital for use there. Reference was made to a statement published in the picss some time ago to the effect that few visitors were taken to the hospital, but she wished it to be known that a number of visitors, including the Gover-nor-Genera] (Lord Bledisloe) and Lady Bledisloe had been entertained there during their visit to Dunedin last year and had been very pleased with what they had seen. The report was adopted after a short discussion.

The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs <L M. Gallaway; vice-presidents—Mesdames S. Batchelor, D. Ramsay, Russell Ritchie, r.nd J. B. Dawson; committee —Mesdames Garth Gallaway, L. N. Benjamin, and W. E. Carswell; secretary aud treasurer, Misa L. A. White.
