MORNIMGTON SCHOOL

The monthly meeting of the Mornington School Committee was held on Monday, the chairman (Mr A. G. Osborne) presiding. The head master reported that when the school reopened on May 21 15 new pupils were enrolled, the roll number being now 550. The average attendance in the past term was 507, influenza am! colds having reduced the average con siderably. Winter sports were now in full swing. Arrangements were being made through the Otago branch of the Victoria League for the establishment of correspondence between the pupils of the school and pupils in the United Kingdom- Mi»s M'Master, who had been appointed tenth assistant, took up her duties after the vacation.
